Gareth Southgate has vowed that England will do “everything we can to deliver for you” in a final message to supporters ahead of tonight’s Euro 2020 Final.

England face Italy at Wembley bidding to win their first major tournament since the World Cup in 1966.

In a final message to England fans hours before the final, Southgate said: “I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to everyone for the incredible support we have received throughout this tournament.

“We hope that we have represented you in the right way. We hope that you have enjoyed watching us play.

“I am very grateful to all of the players and the incredible staff I have got with me that we have been able to get to our first final for 55 years.

“But of course we know now we have got to deliver for you.

“We will be doing everything we can. Your support and energy has given us a huge lift and I know it will tonight.”
