World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann wants the French Football Federation to buy his national teammates an exotically bedazzling ring to celebrate their victory.

Griezmann, who turned down a move to Barcelona this summer, is using a jeweller in Los Angeles, USA, to make a ring that resembles that of the NFL commemorative jewellery.

The Atletico Madrid forward took to social media to post a picture of the design that has been envisaged.

His Instagram post included a quote from the Drake and Future song Big Rings, which is about big rings, saying: ‘Cause I got a really big team. And they need some really big rings.’ It is assumed that Griezmann also believes that he has a very large team that needs some commensurately sized rings.

French radio station RMC Sport have reported that Jason of Beverly Hills have spoken to the FFF with a suggested designed. Players will be able to buy them for themselves if the association doesn’t chip in with the gaudy fripperies.

Griezmann was part of the French side that won the World Cup in Russia with a 4-2 win over Croatia, with the former Real Sociedad forward supplying two set pieces that brought goals for his side.
