Ousmane Dembele has set Arsenal tongues wagging after being photographed with a number of the Gunners squad.

The Barcelona star is reportedly unhappy at the Non Camp, just one year after completing a £36.5m move from Borussia Dortmund, and Arsenal have been linked with a move for him.

Injury marred Dembele’s first season in Spain, but Barca supporters were critical of his performances when he was fit and the arrival of Brazilian star Malcom from Bordeaux has shunted him further down the pecking order.

His social media activity over the past week has seen him like regular Arsenal posts on Instagram, at a time when he is reportedly in touch with Gunners head of recruitment Sven Mislantat.

Now Dembele, who remains on holiday after France’s World Cup victory – although he only featured briefly in the knockout stages – has been photographed with four Arsenal players.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang’s father uploaded a photo to Instagram of Dembele with Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Matteo Guendouzi. Dembele and Aubameyang are friends from their time at Borussia Dortmund together.

Although it is only a photo of Dembele enjoying his holidays, Arsenal fans have reacted in predictable fashion and are now dreaming of securing a deal for the 21-year-old by the time the transfer window shuts next Thursday.
