Love Island’s Maya Jama reveals which Spider-Man actor "loves the show"

Love Island presenter Maya Jama has revealed that Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire is a "big fan" of the ITV dating show.

Jama chatted to Maguire at a Vogue magazine party during the Cannes Film Festival, where the Hollywood actor shared his enthusiasm for Love Island.

"I was sat next to Tobey Maguire — Spider-Man — the other day and he loves the show," she recalled to The Sun.

"He’s a big fan. Tobey and I were together at a dinner. He loved the show and he knew all the series and everything."

It's not the first time Maguire has been unveiled as a Love Island fan. Last year, 2021 winner Millie Court teased that The Great Gatsby star swapped numbers with former islander Lucinda Strafford after meeting at Californian music festival Coachella.

Strafford reportedly mistook Tobey Maguire for Manchester United footballer Harry Maguire at the time.

Reflecting on her recent exchange with the Spider-Man actor, Jama added: "You forget how many people watch it because it’s all over the world."

The host certainly has a habit of uncovering Love Island fans in unusual places. Last month, Jama recalled her surprise at being stopped by a US security official to chat about the reality show.

"I was in the airport recently going to America and the woman at immigration was telling me how much she loved the show," she told The Sun. "She was asking me questions about all of the Islanders."

Jama is currently back on screens presenting Love Island season 10, alongside an all-new Love Island cast in a newly revamped villa. The opening episode saw the first coupling results of the summer series revealed and the arrival of bombshell Zachariah Noble.
