The Summer I Turned Pretty season 1 spoilers follow.
It seems that The Summer I Turned Pretty love triangle is far from over as newly released pictures hint at season 2 drama.
It's been nearly a year since we first met Lola Tung's Isabel 'Belly' Conklin, suddenly finding herself in the whirls of a double love story with her longtime friends, brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).
Created by Jenny Han (To All The Boys), the series is an adaptation of her novel trilogy, with Belly's story having many twists in store for viewers — and the new snaps are proof.

While fans know that Belly ended up with Conrad at the end of the first chapter, it sure looks as though there's some unresolved tension between her and Jeremiah, but will it lead anywhere?
The follow-up will adapt the second book in Han's series, titled It's Not Summer Without You. In the novel, Belly's happy ending with Conrad doesn't last very long, leaving room for Jeremiah to be back in the game as his brother suddenly goes missing.
The book synopsis reads: "It used to be that Belly counted the days until summer until she was back at Cousins Beach with Conrad and Jeremiah. But not this year. Not after Susannah got sick again, and Conrad stopped caring. Everything that was right and good has fallen apart, leaving Belly wishing summer would never come.

"But when Jeremiah calls saying Conrad has disappeared, Belly knows what she must do to make things right again. And it can only happen back at the beach house, the three of them together, the way things used to be. If this summer really and truly is the last summer, it should end the way it started – at Cousins Beach."
The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2 will start streaming on Prime Video on July 14. Season 1 is available on the same platform.
