The big news today is, it’s the start of the Ashes.
Five Test matches, a potential of 25 days of cricket at five different cricket grounds across the country, starting at Edgbaston today, as England look to regain the Ashes.
Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott has apologised after a video of him appearing to mock Harry Kane appeared on social media.
The 16-year-old, who only signed for Liverpool from Fulham on Sunday was filmed on snapchat during Spurs’ Champions League final defeat to Liverpool last season.
Elliott posted an apology, saying his actions were “immature and senseless” and that he is “truly sorry”, despite saying that the video wasn’t directly aimed at Kane.
The ongoing saga between Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane and Gareth Bale may have taken another twist, after the Welshman was spotted playing golf during Real Madrid’s pre-season defeat to Tottenham.

Bale didn’t travel to Munich with the squad for the game following the collapse of his move to China, but Zidane said Bale probably had his reasons.
Andy Murray and his brother Jamie have reached the quarter-finals of the doubles event at the Washington Open.
The pair beat Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin, and following the win, Murray said he is currently pain free.
And finally Manchester United’s Daniel James tweeted a picture of himself, looking like a mascot.
The 21-year-old posted a picture of the United team line up with the caption, “proud moment to walk out with the team yesterday as the club mascot”.
