Adam Smith (Bournemouth) – £15

Position: Defender

Fixture: Burnley (home)

Bournemouth are playing with the shackles off having secured Premier League status for next season. Adam Smith has impressed me in recent weeks with his rampaging runs from right back. He registered an assist last time out against Stoke and also earned the clean sheet points against Middlesbrough and Sunderland. I expect Bournemouth to continue with their free-flowing attacking approach which gives Smith the licence to attack at every opportunity. Only Hull have a worse away record than Burnley this season which bodes well for Smith’s attacking prospects in this fixture.

Alfie Mawson (Swansea) – £15

Position: Defender

Fixture: Sunderland (away)

Swansea are fighting for their lives. At this point in a fantasy season it’s important to include players from teams who still have something to play for and that’s why I’m putting two Swans assets in my team this weekend. Mawson was immense last week in the crucial 1-0 win over Everton which lifted them out of the relegation zone, ahead of Hull. According to Opta he made 16 clearances on his way to the clean sheet points against the Toffees and he knows where the goal is having hit the back of the net on four occasions this season. Paul Clement will be confident of picking up another three points against already relegated Sunderland on Saturday.

Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal) – £19

Position: Midfielder

Fixture: Stoke (away)

Aaron Ramsey hasn’t scored a goal in the Premier League this season yet! He’s had a very poor campaign by his standards but I have noticed an upturn in form in recent weeks. He played 90 minutes in each of Arsenal’s last three matches, picking up an assist against Southampton and is beginning to look more like his old self. He’s also getting himself into the box regularly and it took a superb save from David De Gea to deny him against United. Arsenal are back in the hunt for a Champions League place and need to continue their good form if they are to catch Liverpool or Manchester City. I’ll be very surprised if we don’t see Ramsey’s name on the scoresheet before the end of the season.

Fernando Llorente (Swansea) – £21

Position: Forward

Fixture: Sunderland (away)

As I mentioned above, including players who have something to play for at this stage of the season is a golden rule in fantasy football. The Spaniard popped up with the winning goal against Everton last week and his form in Swansea’s two remaining fixtures will play a big part in whether they avoid the drop or not. With two goals in his last three appearances and 13 for the season, I’m expecting Llorente to fire the Swans to safety over the next two weeks.
