Philippe Clement reveals Rangers radio silence from John Gilligan over future as job safe for now
Philippe Clement says he has not held talks with the Rangers board over his future as the pressure mounts.
The majority of Ibrox fans want Clement sacked after Gers crumbled to a woeful 2-1 defeat at Pittodrie to fall a staggering nine points adrift of Aberdeen and Celtic. The crisis-hit Govan club now face a major battle just to finish second this season, with their league title hopes already up in smoke.
Former striker Kris Boyd is among those who have called for Clement to be axed but on the week when Rangers announced an eye-watering net loss of £17.2million, the under-fire manager claims interim chairman John Bennett has had bigger priorities to attend to.

Asked if he had spoken to the hierarchy in the wake of Wednesday's defeat, Clement said: "I didn't have discussions about that. The last couple of weeks they've been really busy with a lot of other things in the club."
Clement infuriated supporters in his post-match press conference by claiming his side had produced one of their best performances of the season. Asked what message he would send to fans who have lost faith in him, he said: "Because they saw last season also that with the right conclusions, attitude, mentality, spirit... things can change really fast and we're working really hard on that with all the group on and off the pitch and to know what this club is about and every loss is a drama.
"It's a really bad thing, that's what you need to live with and embrace. Because of that, you also have the good moments. We've got to continue working hard to have that in the mind and then to break this moment of games where we're not good enough and to get more consistency."
