West Ham face Leicester City in what is our 36th game of the season. Here are three things to look out for…

An off-form Leicester

When we last faced Leicester in November, the result was 1-1. Since sacking Craig Shakespeare, they have performed well under Claude Puel, though this has not been the case in recent weeks. In their last game, they were heavily defeated by Crystal Palace which came as a shock to many.

Leicester do not have much to fight for now, thus it is not a surprise that there is a decrease in the level of their performances. We are away this Saturday and our away record has been extremely poor, with only two wins from 18 games. None of us expected to get a point against Manchester City but we have to get something from this weekend’s game.

David Moyes’ future

When David Moyes was first appointed it was clear that he was not the board’s first-choice manager for next season. They only gave him a contract until the end of the season and he has nearly accomplished his job, which was to keep us in the Premier League.

But beyond this season, Moyes has not shown in recent weeks that he deserves to stay. Results have been disappointing, with only one win in the last five, whilst our football has been uninspiring with defensive line-ups and a lack of intensity. There are multiple top-level managers available, but who will the board go for?

Who is set to leave?

With only three games left in the season, fans are starting to look ahead to the summer transfer window. We have not been extremely poor when it has come to buying and selling players in recent seasons and this summer will be crucial.

It is clear that we need another striker to help take the pressure off Marko Arnautovic. A new right-back, centre-back, and midfielder is also needed. But who is set to leave? Joe Hart is only here on a loan deal and we cannot keep him on given his poor performances. Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez are two other players that look set to leave this summer.
