Yahoo XI: Sunday's Daily Fantasy selections

They say good things come to those who wait, and Gameweek 21 is no exception. Sunday sees only two matches but they are likely to provide fireworks (and some Daily Fantasy conundrums) as both Liverpool clubs and both Manchester clubs face off.

With that in mind, here is our Daily Fantasy team for Sunday’s derby day.

With only 4 teams to chose from, we have 5 players from Manchester United and two each from Manchester City, Liverpool and Everton.

Up front, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expensive but he’s been in sensational form and faces a Liverpool defence that can buckle if put under pressure. Romelu Lukaku earns his selection because there is a good chance City will give up at least one goal – and if so, the big Belgian is the most likely beneficiary.

The midfield is heavily United-based, with Marouane Fellaini, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Ander Herrera all making the cut. Mkhitaryan has made a successful return from injury and didn’t play against Reading in the FA Cup so should be rested for the visit of Liverpool, while Herrera has had strong returns over the past month so is worth is £17 price. The wildcard here is Fellaini, at £11 he is cheap and if things are tight late on, expect Mourinho to throw the newly re-signed Belgian into the mix. Yaya Touremay be an inconsistent scorer but is likely to start with City’s midfield injury and suspension crisis.

At the back, we’ve shared the love, picking a player from each of the four teams. Despite their teams’ respective shaky defences Dejan Lovren and Aleksandar Kolarov are both consistent fantasy scorers so earn their places in our team, while Leighton Baines is as likely to score big points as any other defender – especially if there’s a penalty. With Claudio Bravo, Simon Mignolet/Lorius Karius and Joel Robles all failing to inspire much confidence, David De Gea is the clear favourite to get the nod in goal.
