5 impending free agents Liverpool can sign including the 'next Mohamed Salah'
While Liverpool continues to sweat on the futures of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah - all set to become free agents at the end of the season - it must also begin their search on players that it'll need to bring in ahead of 2025.
The Reds made just two signings in Arne Slot's first summer transfer window, one of which being Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will not join until next season, with the other being Federico Chiesa, who has had a limited impact since joining.
Liverpool's owners Fenway Sports Group have shown us that they're not always willing to spend a significant amount to improve the team, instead looking at players who they deem to be undervalued when make acquisitions... And it's tough to find a better deal than players essentially being available for free.

While this year's free agent list will currently be headlined by the aforementioned three Liverpool superstars, a number of intriguing players will also be available for Liverpool to consider.
Liverpool.com has put together five players that the Reds have been linked to before who will become free agent next summer - all of which outside of the Premier League.
All of these players will be able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of the country that they're playing in from January onwards.
Angel Gomes (Lille)
A former Manchester United youth product, Gomes has quietly thrived after leaving the Premier League in 2020 - joining Lille on loan where he has blossomed into a fine do-it-all midfielder. His recent performances for England caught the eye, with many realizing that he's set to become a free agent this summer.
While Liverpool have an array of attacking central midfielder, Gomes profiles more similarly to Alexis Mac Allister in that he can be deployed in defensive role or a traiditional number eight. He would be a fine addition as a back-up for him, while competing for a starting spot as the number six.
Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen)
A crucial part of one of the best backlines in European soccer last season, Tah has been incredibly impressive for Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen. A move to Bayern Munich did not materialise in the summer, with the German center-back set to be available to speak to Liverpool in January should they have interest.
Tah will be 29 next year and will be a short-term option for the Reds, but he'd be a solid addition if Van Dijk does indeed leave as a free agent.
Roony Bardghji (Copenhagen)
One of the most exciting teenagers in the European leagues, Bardghji has been linked with Liverpool before, as well as the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona after his impressive performances in the Champions League - including a winning goal against Manchester United in October 2023.
Bardghji's 2023/24 season saw him score seven goals in 19 games at the age of just 18, playing in the same position as Salah as a left-footed, right-sided winger - previously being dubbed 'the next Mo Salah'. Bardghji is set to miss the entire season after suffering a torn ACL, but he is expected to make a full return. Liverpool will be able to speak to the player from January, while having to pay a substantial compensation fee due to the players age.
Leroy Sane (Bayern Munich)
A potential direct replacement for Salah should he leave, Sane joining his former team, Manchester City's rivals would be an interesting one for the Premier League.
A left-footed, right-sided player with blistering speed, Sane does not have anywhere near the production that Salah has had for Liverpool, but he's entering the prime years of his career and could be a smart acquisition for Arne Slot in his win-now Reds team. Sane could even be an option as competition even if Salah signs a new deal.
Jonathan David (Lille)
Very much Liverpool, Lille have some huge players that they'll currently lose as free agents this summer with their record-scorer David likely to leave.... And he has already hinting that he's eyeing the Premier League.
David has seven league goals in 11 games this season, with the out-and-out striker being an exciting option for Liverpool to potentially target - previously being compared to Daniel Sturridge. However, it should be noted that David has previously stated his dislike for Liverpool.
