It happens every year, and it's always dramatic: NFL players who want a new contract or an extension either don't show up for training camp (that's known as holding out) or do show up but then don't practice (known as holding in).
Of course it's happening in 2024. There's a handful of noteworthy names who have decided to make their voices heard and are hoping for a new contract or, in at least one case, a trade out of town.
So as we get into training camp, here's a look at the who's who of holdouts and hold-ins, and we'll update this if more join the list:
WR CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
There are other top WRs who have gotten big new contracts. He has not. Come on, Dallas.
QB Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
He's in Packers camp, but he's not practicing as he awaits a new contract. Hence, he's a hold-in.
WR Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers
He's in camp, but won't practice. He's in a weird situation in which he has requested a trade. Will the Niners do it? Will they pay him to keep him?
OT Trent Williams, San Francisco 49ers
He wants a new deal and hasn't reported to camp.
EDGE Haason Reddick, New York Jets
After the Jets dealt for the pass-rusher, he wanted a new contract. Now, he's holding out.
The NFC North is one of the NFL's top feel-good stories. The Browns ... aren't. And the horizon doesn't look promising even after they move off of Deshaun Watson.

It's Thursday and 'Fantasy Film Room' is back with Nate Tice and Matt Harmon. The two look into four offenses that have gotten off to uneven starts to the season that have players the fantasy world is counting on. Harmon and Tice do a deep dive on the Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars, L.A. Chargers and Miami Dolphins. The two look at what's gone wrong so far and what ways each team can tweak, fix and evolve their offenses the rest of the season. The two also preview the 'instant classic' TNF matchup between the Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints.
