Adam Idah admits Celtic failed to show Falkirk enough respect during today's dramatic cup tie.

The Bairns TWICE took the lead in the game, first opening the scoring through Ross MacIver and then taking a 2-1 lead into half-time as Finn Yeats' header responded to Paulo Bernardo's equaliser. But the Hoops ran riot in the final 20 minutes and ended up 5-2 winners thanks to doubles from Idah and sub Nicolas Kuhn.

The striker spoke to Premier Sports post-match and admitted he and his teammates probably underestimated the Championship side. Idah said: "It was a tough game. We came out in the first half and it was probably the worst start we've made this season. They started off great and kind of blew us away a bit.

"After finishing the last game on such a high, it's always difficult to come play in these games. Fair play to them because they were excellent. At half-time we said to ourselves that this is what the best teams do, they show a comeback. To be fair to the boys, we did.

"It was a whole new squad, we've not played together, which is tough. It was probably a small bit of attitude going into the game. We had a Champions League game the other day, and it was a great win.

"It was probably a lack of respect for them if I'm honest. We probably didn't think they were going to be as good as they were."
