Adidas will reportedly release a special Aston Villa 150th anniversary kit later this season.

Footy Headlines claim that Villa will wear the kit in the FA Cup in January 2025, but there is no confirmed launch date for the anniversary strip yet.

German sports manufacturer adidas are releasing several anniversary kits in the 2024-25 season. They produced a Colombia 2024 centenary jersey earlier this year, which Jhon Duran wore last month when he scored against Chile.

Adidas have also produced an Argentina 50 years anniversary kit which features a traditional white and light blue striped design, combined with the Trefoil logo and AFA lettering.

Now it is claimed that Villa will receive their own anniversary strip, but Footy Headlines suggest that the classic Trefoil logo could be used, as seen on other anniversary kits released recently.

Villa will also reportedly become an 'elite' adidas team from next season, joining the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

There is more attention to detail and more on offer for supporters of clubs who follow adidas' 'elite' clubs - for example, followers of Arsenal, Real Madrid and the other Champions League sides have a greater choice of threads and improved technology used to create their strips.

Villa agreed a lucrative deal with global sportswear manufacturers adidas in the summer, after ending their contract prematurely with previous suppliers Castore following complaints from players in both the Men's and Women's teams about the quality of the material.
