Andy Murray to take to the stage in completely new venture
Sir Andy Murray is set to swap the tennis court for the stage after confirming he will take part in a theatre show looking back on his illustrious career.
The 37-year-old, who retired following his exit from the men's doubles at the Paris Olympics earlier this year, has been getting to grips with a new sport in retirement, spending much of his time out on the golf course as he aims to earn a scratch handicap.
But next summer, Murray will be trying something else new as he takes part in Centre Stage, a show which will place him front and centre as he shares anecdotes and juicy details from his playing days.

Of course, he won't be short of things to talk about, having won 46 titles, including two Wimbledon and one US Open championship, as well as three Olympic medals, over the course of his career.
With BBC commentator Andrew Cotter interviewing him on stage, Murray is also expected to lift the lid on his rivalries with the rest of the 'Big Four' - Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
Centre Stage is scheduled to run across four nights in June 2025, kicking off in Glasgow. After that, the show will move on to Edinburgh and London's Eventim Apollo before finishing at the New Wimbledon Theatre the night before next year's Championships at SW19 get under way.
"After I retired this summer, I wanted to try some different things," said Murray after the show dates were confirmed. "I don’t think a tennis player has done anything like this before so it felt like a great challenge for me.
"I haven’t stepped on a tennis court for a long time, so hopefully my fans will enjoy seeing me in this new setting."
