Archie Ferris leaves Taunton Town as another loan defender joins the squad
Taunton Town has confirmed that Archie Ferris has left the club to sign for fellow Southern League Premier South side Frome Town.
The striker joined the Peacocks in the summer from Larkhall Athletic but has found a regular starting place hard to hold down, having made six full and seven substitute appearances whilst scoring two goals.
The deal with Frome includes an agreement that he will not play against Taunton later in the season.
Taunton manager Richard Luffman said:” A massive thanks to Archie for his short spell at the club. During the summer we recruited a team that had never played together, and we had to make a decision to suit the majority. That ultimately made it tough for Archie and he’s found himself out of the team. We wish him well at Frome where no doubt he’ll flourish.
"We are still evolving as a group which is to be expected. We’re still working on one more incoming player and a potential few more moving on. This is a brand new squad, and we knew that we’d need to make signings during the season to improve but we do feel like we’re closer to a settled squad. The past week has been tough, but the fire is well and truly in the belly for this weekend’s game from everyone at the club.”
