Arsenal frustration laid bare over 'conspiracy' as Premier League referee decision made
Should Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard have been more careful to avoid a second yellow card for kicking the ball away or are the Premier League inconsistent? That is probably a question that has been debated by the Arsenal supporters over the last couple of weeks.
The Gunners have been incensed with some decisions that have gone against them so far this season - and two of them have involved the controversial red cards shown to Rice and Trossard.
Rice was shown his marching orders for appearing to nudge the ball away as Joel Veltman tried to take a quick free-kick in the 1-1 draw with Brighton, while Trossard was sent off after delaying the restart during the 2-2 draw at Manchester City.
As well as the aforementioned, there have been a couple of other incidents that enraged Arsenal fans - and most of them have involved opposition players kicking the ball away.
For example, the Gunners felt Wilfried Ndidi should have been booked for prodding out of play when a free-kick had been awarded in the 4-2 win over Leicester, while they believed Jeremy Doku and Joao Pedro were fortunate to escape cautions earlier this season.
Considering some of the decisions that have gone against them, is there a case for Arsenal fans feeling that there is a conspiracy involved? There is for sure an argument for it due to the number of decisions that the Gunners feel have been wrongly given, but it's certainly an interesting debate regardless.

There has been some worries that poor refereeing and VAR could cost Arsenal the title this season. The Gunners have dropped four points this season - both in the matches against Brighton and City when Rice and Trossard were sent off. They sit level on points with second-place City and one point behind leaders Liverpool.
With Arsenal not appearing to get the rub of the green, it has brought up the topic surrounding which of the traditional Big Six benefit the most from refereeing decisions. Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and the Gunners involved, of course.
