Arsenal injury news as Mikel Arteta dealt Leandro Trossard scare before Nottingham Forest clash
Mikel Arteta could be without seven players when Arsenal return to action after November's international break. The Gunners will lock horns with Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they both look to push forward their Premier League ambitions.
Arsenal will be eager to return to winning ways - having not tasted victory in the English top-flight in four games. Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santo's men will be determined to climb back into the top-four; they fell to fifth before the current interval after losing 3-1 to Newcastle United.
With fourth place and a Champions League qualification spot still on the line, Arteta could be without some big names. Their first doubt is Leandro Trossard, who appeared to suffer a knock during the first half of Belgium's 1-0 defeat to Israel on Sunday night.

He was forced off and replaced by Johan Bakayoko. Speaking to reporters after the match, head coach Domenico Tedesco couldn't provide an update on Trossard's fitness, however, he did reveal that the 29-year-old forward was insistent on playing despite feeling discomfort ahead of the game.
As it stands, the severity of his injury remains to be known. Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice could also miss Arsenal's clash against Forest this weekend after they dropped out of the latest England squad.
After missing games against Bournemouth and Shakhtar Donetsk, Saka returned from the treatment room to face Chelsea - only to be forced off in the 81st minute. Speaking to the media after that London derby, Arteta admitted was he concerned with the winger's fitness.
Rice also raced back to face Chelsea after missing the Gunners' defeat to Inter Milan in the Champions League with a broken toe a few days earlier. The midfielder was a serious doubt for the Blues' game, but he still managed to play 70 minutes before he was brought off for Mikel Merino.
Ben White could be ruled for eight weeks or so, meaning he may not return until the new year. football.london understands that the defender underwent a minor procedure last week to resolve a joint problem that had been causing him some problems.
Riccardo Calafiori has missed Arsenal's last five matches - across all competitions - against Liverpool, Preston, Newcastle, Inter Milan and Chelsea. However, it's said that he's set to be available for selection again after the November international break.
Takehiro Tomiyasu made his first appearance of the season before October's international break, enjoying a six-minute cameo off the bench against Southampton. The defender picked up a knock and he's been out of action since, with Arteta unable to put a timeframe on his return.
And, finally, Kieran Tierney. The defender, who suffered a nasty hamstring injury at Euro 2024, has been 'looking really good' - according to Arteta - ahead of his return to first-team training in the coming weeks.
