Arsenal will be looking to return to winning ways this afternoon (Sunday) when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The Gunners will be looking to end a three-game winless run in the league and bounce back from defeats against Newcastle and Inter in their last two outings.

Midfielder Declan Rice was forced to sit out the 1-0 loss against Inter on Wednesday night after picking up a knock during the loss by the scoreline against Newcastle. He was replaced by Thomas Partey.

The Ghanaian played alongside Mikel Merino in the Arsenal midfield, but Merino was forced off at half time. He could therefore be a doubt for the game against Chelsea.

Doubts over the duo mean that there could be a new midfield partnership against the Blues. Jorginho is one of the players who could come into the Arsenal midfield. Ahead of the match, he has shared a pre-match graphic on his Instagram story, hinting that he will be involved in some way or another.

Fellow midfielder Partey has also shared a graphic on his Instagram story, hinting that he could be involved in the lineup. Partey played the full 90 minutes in midfield vs Inter after playing at right back against Newcastle.

Even with the doubts over the availability of Rice and Merino, Arsenal have been handed a boost. Club captain Martin Odegaard made his comeback from injury with a late cameo against Inter.

Given he has been out since August and only played the closing stages of the match on Wednesday, it may be a risk to put the midfielder in from the start. He will, however, at least be named on the bench and will be available to call on.
