Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko 'reaches transfer agreement' as contract details emerge
Should Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko decide to depart RB Leipzig next summer, he can reportedly do so thanks to a "gentleman's agreement" he has with the Bundesliga outfit.
The striker was consistently linked with a move to the Gunners as well as Chelsea during the summer transfer window but a deal never materialised for the 21-year-old who instead inked a one-year contract extension.
Opting not to target a striker during the window, Raheem Sterling's loan arrival was the lone addition to Arsenal's forward line. They remain without a recognised goalscorer this season with Kai Havertz their top scorer in the Premier League with just four goals.
The future of Sesko - who's scored seven goals in 14 games across all competitions this season - remains a huge talking point despite his contract not expiring until 2029.
The possibility of his departure from the Red Bull Arena next year could occur due to the "gentleman’s agreement" he has with Leipzig if he desires a move away in the summer of 2025, according to

Sky Germany's Philipp Hinze has reported the German club could demand up to £62.2million (€75m) for the Slovenia international if he voices a desire to leave next year. Sesko could have been purchased for just £54m in the summer but the same report claims that his release clause was removed and the striker was given a salary increase when he agreed to extend his deal recently.
It has also been claimed that despite the speculation surrounding his future, Sesko is currently happy with his personal playing time and role as Leipzig's first-choice striker.
The man himself even admitted his happiness playing for the German side and his reason behind extending his already lengthy contract during the summer when speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
He said last month: "I don’t comment on transfer rumors. I’m happy in Leipzig and that’s why I recently extended my contract. I want to achieve even more great things here, Leipzig wants to grow a lot and I want to accompany the team on this very intriguing journey."
Sesko would surely prove to be a helping hand for Mikel Arteta's side who've failed to score in two of their last three league games, being defeats to Bournemouth and Newcastle.
Winless in their last three games, Arsenal sit sixth in the Premier League and could remain 10 points behind leaders Liverpool if they fail to get anything out of their clash against Chelsea on Sunday (November 10).
