Aston Villa starting XI vs Crystal Palace predicted as Unai Emery sweats on injury concerns
Aston Villa have the opportunity to claim their first win in a month when they host struggling Crystal Palace at Villa Park on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
Oliver Glasner's side won at Villa Park in the Carabao Cup last month, but have lost three of their first five away league matches and drawn the other two. The Eagles claimed their first victory of the Premier League season against Tottenham at the end of October.
Villa, meanwhile, have lost their last four matches in all competitions but are only one point off third place in the Premier League after only half of those losses came in the league against Tottenham and Liverpool. Unai Emery will hope to welcome Matty Cash and Ross Barkley back from injury for the Palace match, but he has been handed a few injury concerns over the international break.

Ezri Konsa returned to Villa after picking up a hip problem last Thursday night in England's win over Greece. England interim boss Lee Carsley didn't want to take any risks with the defender, who trained indoors on Saturday ahead of their match with Ireland.
Pau Torres felt some discomfort when he linked up with the Spain squad, while Ian Maatsen also returned to Villa due to an injury issue. Emery will give an update on those players later this week in his pre-match press conference, but Jacob Ramsey, Boubacar Kamara and Amadou Onana are all expected to be sidelined this weekend through injury.
If available, Cash could come straight back into the starting XI to face Palace, while there will be a decision to make on Konsa's fitness. Pau Torres should be fine to play, but Emery has Diego Carlos and Tyrone Mings as options in case Konsa and Torres require further rest.
Lucas Digne should operate at left-back after registering three assists and crashing in a free-kick from around 25 yards in France's win over Italy on Sunday night.
Barkley could partner Youri Tielemans in midfield, while Leon Bailey gives width from the right and John McGinn operates from the left given the injury suffered by Ramsey at Liverpool. Morgan Rogers is expected to support Ollie Watkins in attack.
Aston Villa XI vs Crystal Palace predicted: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Pau, Digne, Barkley, Tielemans, Bailey, McGinn, Rogers, Watkins.
