Aston Villa team news vs Club Brugge confirmed as Mings and Kamara start Champions League clash

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has selected his starting XI to face Club Brugge at the Jan Breydel Stadium in the Champions League this evening (5:45pm kick-off)

Emery has made five changes from the side which lost 4-1 against Tottenham on Sunday as Tyrone Mings, Diego Carlos, Ian Maatsen, Boubacar Kamara and Leon Bailey all start.

From back to front, Emi Martinez starts in goal behind a defence made up of Ezri Konsa, Mings, Carlos and Maatsen. Kamara operates alongside Youri Tielemans in midfield, while Bailey plays from the right and John McGinn on the left as Morgan Rogers supports Ollie Watkins up front.

After beating BSC Young Boys, Bayern Munich and Bologna, Villa are looking to retain their 100 per cent record in the Champions League by defeating a Brugge side who have won one and lost two of their opening three games. They defeated Sturm Graz between losses suffered to Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan.

Villa starting XI: Martinez, Konsa, Carlos, Mings, Maatsen, Kamara, Tielemans, Bailey, McGinn, Rogers, Watkins.

Subs: Gauci, Olsen, Swinkels, Bogarde, Nedeljkovic, Torres, Digne, Onana, Philogene, Ramsey, Buendia, Duran.

Club Brugge XI: Mignolet, Seys, Ordonez, Mechele, De Cuyper, Nielsen, Vanaken, Jashari, Skov Olsen, Tzolis, Jutliga.

Subs: Jackers, Romero, Vetlesen, Meijer, Vermant, Skoras, Siquet, Spileers, Sabbe, Talbi.
