Aston Villa vs Man City: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news and h2h results today
Steven Gerrard faces his first huge test as a Premier League manager tonight when Aston Villa take on Manchester City.
City travel to Villa Park with all the stats in their favour. They have won ten of their last 11 meetings, their last 15 league matches played on a Wednesday, and each of their last five in all competitions.
It will take something special to down City but Villa will fancy their chances after two wins from two under the new boss - against Brighton and Crystal Palace.
Those victories have at least pushed the side clear of the drop zone and three more points could send them into the top half.
For City, the gap to leaders Chelsea is down to a point and the Blues’ earlier trip to Watford on the same evening may provide them with a chance to reclaim first position.
Date, kick-off time and venue
Aston Villa vs Man City is scheduled for an 8.15pm GMT kick-off tonight - Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
The match will take place at Villa Park.

Aston Villa vs Man City team news
Aymeric Laporte is suspended for City, who are also without Ferran Torres (foot) and Benjamin Mendy (police charge).
Guardiola will make late calls on Jack Grealish and Phil Foden after knocks ruled them out of the weekend win over West Ham. Kevin De Bruyne also missed that game due to Covid-19 and is unavailable for Wednesday despite leaving isolation.
The manager said: “Kevin is back but he needs time to be fit. People who have had Covid explain that it's draining, tiring and takes time. He is a player who needs to be fit for his top form, or he cannot show it.”
Bertrand Traore (thigh) and Trezeguet (knee) are both absent for Aston Villa.

Gerrard has done well so far but a proper ‘Welcome to the Premier League’ moment will arrive at some point - and Pep Guardiola’s men are very capable of delivering it.
