Bath Rugby winger Will Muir has been added to England A’s squad to face Australia A on Sunday after recently recovering from a knee injury.

Muir was a try scorer in February when England A made its return after eight years in a 91-5 victory over Portugal and has been on the fringes of the England senior team after showing barnstorming form at club level. He joins clubmate Max Ojomoh, who looks set to return from injury this weekend, in the squad to prepare to face the Wallabies while Bath’s World Rugby U20 Championship winning tighthead prop Vilikesa Sela has left the national squad after suffering a shoulder injury in the 78-19 Premiership Rugby Cup win over Bristol Bears on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Blue, Black and White flanker Ted Hill has stepped up to join the senior England side following an injury to Tom Curry during the defeat to Australia on Saturday.

England A head coach Mark Mapletoft has also added Gloucester Rugby’s Arthur Clark, and Hugh Tizard of Saracens to the squad to face Rod Seib’s side at the Twickenham Stoop following their 10-10 draw against Bristol Bears at Ashton Gate on Friday night.

Mapletoft has also invited former U20 Men’s players Tarek Haffar (Northampton Saints) and Sean Kerr (Harlequins), as well as current U20 Elite Player Squad members Tom Burrow (Sale Sharks), Charlie Griffin (Bath Rugby) and Angus Hall (Saracens), to train with the team.

The squad assemble at the Hazelwood Centre today to begin preparations for the fixture later this week, with training also set to take place at Richmond Athletic Ground.

The game kicks off at 2pm on Sunday.
