Blackburn Rovers predicted team as injuries and suspensions limit options
John Eustace has limited options to freshen up his Blackburn Rovers team with injuries and suspension to consider.
It was a young-looking bench on Wednesday night with teenagers Igor Tyjon and Matty Litherland amongst the substitutes. They may keep their place with Tyrhys Dolan now suspended and out of the squad.
Lewis Baker returns to even up the numbers but with no Amario Cozier-Duberry or Arnor Sigurdsson, there aren't too many obvious changes Eustace can make.
The back five is likely to remain the same. Owen Beck may be fit to return after missing the midweek defeat with a stiff back. But Harry Pickering performed well and so I don't think Rovers will rush back the Liverpool loanee.
Lewis Travis and Sondre Tronstad have started ever Championship game and so unless there's an injury, they will likely continue.
Andi Weimann is most susceptible to dropping out of the team. Joe Rankin-Costello could take his place in an attacking wide right berth which he hasn't started in since August. Todd Cantwell, Ryan Hedges and Yuki Ohashi are all likely to keep their places.
Predicted Rovers team: Pears; Brittain, Batth, Hyam, Pickering; Travis, Tronstad; Rankin-Costello, Cantwell, Hedges; Ohashi.
