Brendan Rodgers expects 'absolute fire' in Celtic vs Rangers title decider after Hoops blow Hearts away

Brendan Rodgers is predicting "fire" in Celtic's clash with Rangers next weekend in what could be the title decider.

The Hoops head into derby day next week in confident mood after blowing Hearts away at Parkhead this afternoon in a 3-0 win thanks to a double from Kyogo and a smashing penalty from Matt O'Riley towards the end of the action. The result takes their lead at the summit to six points with their rivals playing tomorrow to attempt to claw it back to just three.

The atmosphere inside the stadium today was also electric and Rodgers is expecting the same when the Light Blues come calling with so much on the line.

"It's a huge game (against Rangers), but what really pleased today was in a big a game, we had big performances and a big contribution from those players," he said on BBC Sportsound. "So that really sets us up for next week. The players were very good in their concentration when they had to defend, they defended well.

"I think Joe (Hart) obviously made a really good save (to deny Devlin). I think, looking towards next week, we'll recover a little bit, analyse, have a really good week's training. And then it going to be absolutely on fire here next week."
