Bruno Fernandes sends four-word Manchester United message to Ruben Amorim favourite
Bruno Fernandes has sent a clear message to Manchester United teammate Manuel Ugarte. The United midfielders are currently away on international duty representing Portugal and Uruguay, respectively, with both players finding the back of the net on Friday night.
For Portugal's 5-1 Nations League win over Poland, Fernandes played a pivotal role, and he scored a stunning goal from 25 yards out which bounced over the line off the crossbar. Just a few hours later, Ugarte repeated Fernandes' feat, but under very different circumstances.
Moments after Colombia looked to have snatched a point, by levelling the game at 2-2, Ugarte fired home off the bench in the 11th minute of added-time to dramatically hand Uruguay all three points. The defensive midfielder has endured a mixed start to life at Old Trafford, but that could soon change with the arrival of Ruben Amorim.

The duo worked closely together at Sporting CP and they are now primed for a reunion at Carrington. The new United head coach has already visited United's training ground - which saw him meet the likes of Leny Yoro and Kobbie Mainoo with a busy first week also including a stadium tour and first official club interview.
Asked what his first task will be, Amorim replied: "I think it's important because a lot of people now talk about the 3-4-3 and the 4-3-3 and all that stuff," he said. "But when I think as a player or as a teammate of Manchester United, it's not a system of formation, it's like the character of the players, the way they see the club.
"So we have to focus on that before the everything of how we play, how we press. The most important thing for me, at this moment, is to create the principles, the identity and the character that we had in the past." Given their past, Ugarte will certainly occupy one of the two central midfield spots.
Fernandes, having played deeper before could be alongside him, however it's far more likely he is deployed as an inside forward. Both Ugarte and Fernandes will likely link up on the pitch in the months to come with it seemingly clear they have already built up a relationship.
On social media, Ugarte posted a picture of himself to Instagram which showed him nonchalantly celebrating the winner with Fernandes replying: "I can't believe it."
Following such a positive international clash, for both players, Ugarte and Fernandes will return to Manchester in buoyant mood for Amorim's first game in charge against Ipswich. Fernandes in particular will be fighting fit having picked up a yellow card against Poland - which means he will suspended for Monday's clash against Croatia.
