Bukayo Saka remains doubtful ahead of Arsenal's match against Liverpool over a fortnight ago after injuring his hamstring while playing for England in their shock 2-1 defeat against Greece in the Nations League.

Saka, 23, returned to the Gunners for further assessment after limping off during the second half that night at Wembley Stadium. The winger did not play in their 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth last weekend - and was absent midweek for the Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk, too.

However, he has trained to a degree, since then, despite not being involved in the Arsenal team session on Friday. football.london has complied a round-up of the latest news on Saka's status for the fixture this Sunday afternoon;

Saka 'spotted' with squad

Images on social media have surfaced showing Saka with the Gunners squad at the team hotel. A member of the public seemingly took photos while the players were entering the hotel through the reception area, wearing club-branded tracksuit bottoms and hoodies and carrying backpacks.

Still, question marks remain over the images' credibility - as they remain unverified - and in turn the likelihood of the winger's inclusion. Even if the footage is legitimate, it remains entirely possible that Saka could not make the matchday squad or, if he does, be named as a substitute instead of in the starting line-up.

Mikel Arteta on Saka chances

Mikel Arteta updated the media on Saka's fitness during his pre-match press conference on Friday. "He's done a bit of training on the grass," the Arsenal manager confirmed.

"How far we can get him before Sunday is another question. We have another day, which is the good thing, but we will see [if he will be able to play against Liverpool]."
