Bulls big man Andre Drummond fined $15k for ‘inappropriate gesture’ vs. T-Wolves
Veteran Chicago Bulls big man Andre Drummond may not be headed to play for a new team as many had assumed ahead of the NBA’s 2024 trade deadline, but he will be feeling a little lighter in the wallet department due to some recent on-court exchanges. Evidently, Drummond was a bit animated when responding to a recent on-court altercation.
Per a recent notice put out by the NBA’s official communications channel, Big Penguin has been fined 15,000 “for making an inappropriate gesture on the playing court,” which was announced on Thursday via the NBA’s Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars.
“The incident occurred with 1:22 remaining in the overtime of the Bulls’ 129-123 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Feb. 6 at United Center,” the notice clarified.

Cheaper than moving to a new city and team, at least? A small but notable silver lining for a player who seemed resigned to such a fate not very long ago at all.
