Carlisle United's League Two clash with Crewe Alexandra has been brought forward - and will be televised live.

The game had originally been scheduled for Tuesday, December 3.

But with both sides out of the FA Cup, the clubs have agreed to play on Saturday, November 30, with a 12.30pm kick-off.

That is the date earmarked for second round ties and which would have been vacant for both clubs after their respective first round exits.

United have confirmed that the game will be shown on Sky Sports+, hence the early kick-off.

Carlisle went out of the FA Cup at the hands of Wigan Athletic in a 2-0 defeat after extra-time, while the Railwaymen were beaten 1-0 at home by National League side Dagenham & Redbridge.

Lee Bell's side are fifth in League Two.

United say they will confirm ticket details in due course.

It adds another early Saturday kick-off to this season's calendar for the Cumbrians.

This weekend's trip to Salford City also starts at 12.30pm with the game live on Sky Sports +.

Their December 29 home clash with Accrington Stanley has a similar kick-off time, with United's home win over Barrow in August having also started at 12.30pm having been chosen for live coverage.
