Celtic can clinch title against Rangers next week as Hearts win moves them closer to three-in-a-row

Celtic could clinch the Premiership title against Rangers next weekend after sweeping Hearts aside at Parkhead.

The Hoops battered this afternoon's foes in a comfortable 3-0 win thanks to goals from Kyogo and Matt O'Riley to put their side on easy street and one step closer to sealing three in a row. Kyogo opened the scoring inside the first four minutes with a header before he doubled his own tally with a slick volley from an O'Riley long ball.

And as the game clock ticked down, the Danish international helped himself to a goal from the penalty spot to sew up the points and pile heaps of pressure on Gers who play tomorrow afternoon.

Victory for Philippe Clement's troops would take the current six points Celtic lead back to three but a win for the Hoops in the derby on May 11 would all-but guarantee their crowning with their goal difference already eight better off than that of their rivals.

Should Rangers lose or draw at Ibrox against Kilmarnock on Sunday, a win for Celts on derby day would be enough to mathematically win the title with just two games to go after that one and not enough games in the calendar for Gers to claw it back.
