Celtic fans boo and drown out Remembrance Sunday minute's silence as Sky Sports apologise for 'disturbance'

The minute's silence before Celtic's clash with Kilmarnock was disrupted by singing and booing, which forced Sky into an immediate on-air apology.

The Hoops travelled to Rugby Park for the clash with Derek McInnes' side with the Celtic and Killie players joining clubs across the country in holding a minute of contemplation ahead of kick-off for Remembrance Day. Both sets of players stood in silence in the centre circle before murmurs from the stands were heard as the pre-match tannoy reminded supporters of the pre-match gesture.

As Kilmarnock captain Kyle Vassell approached the middle of the pitch with a wreath, loud booing was audibly picked up by the Sky microphones. Referee Nick Walsh blew his whistle to commence a period of silence before the Scottish Premiership clash but any angry reaction could be heard from as jeers and whistle rang out before the fans sang throught the silence.
