Celtic fans plan 'Trongate Party' to celebrate title win after St Mirren clash

Celtic fans have plans to host a "Trongate Party" this weekend to celebrate their club's title win.

The Hoops sealed their third title in a row with victory over Kilmarnock in midweek as they battered Derek McInnes' side 5-0 to secure the trophy and yet another domestic title. Brendan Rodgers and his squad were welcomed back on Wednesday evening to Parkhead for a celebration.

But now they will be paraded within the stadium after their final league game of the season against St Mirren on Saturday afternoon where they'll be officially handed the trophy. Fans are sure to get into the spirit of things as their heroes do a lap of honour with the silverware, but their enjoyment won't stop there.

North Curve Celtic have issued an open invite via social media and urged punters to show up on May 18 after the game for a "Trongate Party" to continue the party atmosphere.

In previous years the support has lapped it up at Glasgow Cross and Merchant City after their victory.
