What Celtic or Rangers need to do to win the SWPL as final day title permutations examined

The title race may have not gone down to the final day in the men's stuff but it certainly has in the SWPL.

Celtic Women and Rangers Women both go into their clashes tomorrow with the chance of winning the league and it promises to be a dramatic day with both locked on the same amount of points, 79. The Hoops are in the driving seat due to their much better goal difference - 107 against Gers' 91.

They do arguably have the harder game though but neither side will have it easy as they both face top six sides. Celtic will be at home to fifth placed Hibs while Rangers host Brian Graham's Partick Thistle in a repeat of last month's Sky Sports Cup final which Jo Potter's side triumphed in.

With a helicopter Sunday coming, fans of both sides as well as neutrals will want to be keeping tabs on what goes on. But what are the permutations? Football Scotland has you covered.

If both teams manage to pick up three points, Celtic will be champions. Unless of course Rangers pull off the unthinkable and manage to smash in enough goals to overhaul the 16-goal swing in goal difference. File that under unlikely.

The goal difference does give the Hoops an advantage but obviously that requires them to match their rivals' result. Slip up in any way and that gives Gers the chance to sneak in and a Hibs win would mean a point would be enough for Potter's team.

Obviously, the same goes vice-versa so essentially Celtic just need to match Rangers' result and hope they don't pull off the nigh on impossible with the goal difference.
