Celtic fans watched their side put six unanswered goals past Aberdeen and had a pop at them from the stands too.

Daizen Maeda bagged a hat-trick, Cameron Carter-Vickers nodded one in, and Kyogo Furuhasi and Nicolas Kuhn scored a goal apiece for Brendan Rodgers' Hoops as Aberdeen's domestic unbeaten run came to a halt, as Celtic's continued. The Premier Sports Cup semi-final was a one-sided occasion and Celtic fans had a sly dig at their fans when their side was running riot.

A banner was unfurled in the stand that read "At least you still have the Northern Lights," as they mercilessly pummelled the Granite City side.

Pre-match, the game's kick-off was delayed for nearly a quarter of an hour due to smoke from the stands impairing visibility on the pitch and impacting the VAR lines, should they be needed in any offside decisions.

Celtic will face either Motherwell or Rangers in the League Cup final, with the latter the current holders of the trophy.
