I was at centre of Man United dressing room leaks – this is how I truly feel about club
Former Manchester United assistant manager Chris Armas knows what it's like to be the main subject of an Old Trafford dressing room leak.
Murmurs from behind the scenes reported that Armas, who arrived as part of Ralf Rangnick's backroom team, was often referred to as Ted Lasso – the flamboyant American manager from the hit television series. Reports of United players mocking the New York native enraged Gary Neville, at a time when the club was struggling on the field.
Ruben Amorim will be trying to earn the respect of the United dressing room quickly, now he is in situ at Old Trafford. But while it seemed like Armas had a torrid time at the club, the 52-year-old does not hold any grudges.

While speaking to 'The Crack Podcast', Armas was asked about how he felt he was treated. He said: "I'm only grateful, they treated me, I promise you all, tremendously.
"Upper management, coaching staff, Darren Fletcher, they treated me as if I'd been there forever and they were amazing. With the players, I had a really good rapport.
"Top to bottom, young or older, or superstar. The frustrating thing is you find yourself with this gift, like a pot of gold and I can't carry it, it's too heavy.”

When he heard about the leaks about players mocking Armas, Neville was left seething. He called out the United stars in an angry speech on his podcast.
He said: "I thought that was downright disrespectful – I didn't find it funny at all the fact they were describing the number two of Ralf Rangnick as Ted Lasso, I didn't find it funny at all, I found it disrespectful, disgusting.
"In fact, it summed up what I think of them that they are disrespectful. If I was Ralf Rangnick and his number two I'd take strength from that because I wouldn't want to be on the same page as some of the players leaking that story, those types of stories.
"It never happened in my time [leaks of manager discontent], we had the greatest level of stability. It's happening at Manchester United now [leaks].
"They're at it, the PR teams, their marketing teams, their agents, they're at it. They're protecting themselves, they're in self-preservation of their own player."
Amorim will take control of his first match as United boss on Sunday, when his side travel to East Anglia to face Ipswich Town.
