Chelsea might have a clear run at Victor Osimhen this summer after Paris Saint-Germain came to an agreement on another £51million transfer. Speculation over Osimhen, 25, remains at fever pitch and it looks increasingly likely that he will leave Italian side Napoli before the deadline comes and goes on August 30.

The Blues have long-since been linked with a move for Osimhen, while Napoli are also said to want Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, but there is nothing formal in place for Lukaku, or the Nigerian goal machine. Osimhen is understood to have a release clause worth £110million in his Napoli contract.

However, there is chance a lesser fee will be agreed. Chelsea, if not for a direct swap, have bargaining power with Lukaku on radar for Antonio Conte - who is the manager at Napoli these days - and his recruitment team. The main thing standing in the way for Chelsea is a heavy-handed approach from big-spending PSG.

They might have just made their transfer intentions clear, though. Amid ongoing whispers around Osimhen, a deal worth £51million has been struck-up between PSG and Stade Rennes for Désiré Doué. The highly-rated winger has, according to reports from Florian Plettenberg on social media, already made his way to the French capital.

A medical has been scheduled and only the formalities are said to be outstanding. Doué, 19, is about to put pen-to-paper on a long-term contract with the Ligue 1 champions.

Presumably, that impending transfer will have a knock-on impact in their remaining budget. Doué was viewed as a key target for PSG this summer and they have had to pay a sizable amount for his signature.

The left-winger has already totted-up 57 games in Ligue 1 with seven goals and assists to his name. It remains to be seen whether PSG have enough clout for another marquee addition.
