Chelsea handed quadruple fitness boost for Tottenham clash
Chelsea are ready to hand starts to four returning stars in the crunch weekend clash with London rivals Tottenham.
The Blues have struggled with injuries since the World Cup break, having to manage fitness levels amid a relentless schedule.
Reece James suffered a setback in his own return from injury and was left out of the squad for the weekend home loss to Southampton, but is likely to start on Sunday.
Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk have also been given the all-clear to line up against Spurs, after Graham Potter was told they would risk injury by starting against Saints.
The Blues were also boosted this week by the return of N’Golo Kante to training.
Kante, who is in talks to renew his contract, completed the first part of the session before returning to individual work as he nears a return following hamstring surgery.
The midfielder has not played since August and it hoped he will be in excellent condition and ready to help his team on his return, which would give Potter a major lift.
Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta watched on after he was discharged from hospital following his head injury against Southampton.
