Chelsea are reportedly considering a move to sign Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford this summer.

The Blues are apparently in the market for a new goalkeeper when the transfer window reopens, and are thought to have several options on their shortlist, reports the Express. Last summer, Chelsea invested in two goalkeepers, Djordje Petrovic and Robert Sanchez, but there continues to be speculation around a possible new addition being added to the squad.

Sanchez has struggled with injury during his first season at Stamford Bridge following his move from Brighton last summer. Petrovic has been Mauricio Pochettino's starting goalkeeper in the Premier League since mid-December, making 26 appearances in all competitions so far.

Reports in recent months have linked AC Milan's Mike Maignan and Porto's Diogo Costa with a move to Chelsea. Now, though, it is being reported that Pickford could be the player that is wanted by the Blues hierarchy.

According to talkSPORT, Chelsea have Pickford 'on their radar' ahead of the summer transfer window and are contemplating him as a potential new first-choice keeper. It has been reported that Everton may be compelled to part ways with Pickford at the end of the season if their proposed takeover by 777 Partners collapses.

Chelsea are reported to be keeping a close eye on the situation at Goodison Park, which could potentially allow them to sign up to three players from Sean Dyche's squad. The Blues have been linked with Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana in recent months - who have also been credited as potential targets for other clubs.

Manchester United also reportedly have their sights set on Branthwaite this summer, who has been identified as one of their key defensive targets by new owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. For Onana, Arsenal - as well as Chelsea - have previously been linked with the Belgium international.
