Chelsea star proves Simon Jordan wrong as promotion hero transfer tipped
Chelsea's Premier League season is edging closer to a conclusion, with only two matches remaining for Mauricio Pochettino's side.
The Blues are still in the hunt for a top-six finish after moving up the table in recent weeks with wins over Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Nottingham Forest and will this week take on Brighton and Bournemouth.
Chelsea's standout player of 2023/24 has undoubtedly been Cole Palmer, who has been outscored only by Manchester City's Erling Haaland in the Premier League this term.
Palmer will be looking to play his part in Chelsea's final push for European football, which seemed an impossible task only a matter of weeks ago.
Below, we have rounded-up the latest headlines regarding the Blues ahead of an important few days.

Palmer praise
Few people predicted the successful season Cole Palmer has enjoyed at Stamford Bridge following his transfer from Manchester City.
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has become the latest individual to admit the English midfielder has proven him wrong after taking the division by storm.
Speaking on talkSPORT’s YouTube channel, Jordan said “I kind of had reservations about him initially because I thought there’s no way that Guardiola lets him go because he can’t manage the kid’s expectations. And then I’ve seen in the last six weeks an acceleration in Cole Palmer. I thought he was doing well but, in recent performances, he’s gone to a different level.”
football.london says: Cole Palmer has been Chelsea's shining light all season, providing moments of magic when most needed for Pochettino's side. It is worrying to think about just how this campaign may have played out without him in the team.
Omari Hutchinson move eyed
Newly-promoted Ipswich Town are said to be eyeing a permanent move for Chelsea midfielder Omari Hutchinson.
The 20-year-old spent the season on loan with the Tractor Boys, playing a key role in helping them earn a surprise promotion to the Premier League.
Hutchinson played a total of 44 games in the second tier, contributing ten goals and six assists, and has now emerged as a target for Kieran McKenna's team.
TEAMtalk have reported Chelsea plan to offer the youngster a new contract, though Ipswich "want to keep" him at Portman Road. It is added a second loan could be agreed, though Town are expected to make a "daring approach" to sign him.
football.london says: It is difficult to see a first-team pathway for Hutchinson at present due to the sheer number of players Chelsea have this area. A permanent sale could work out best for both parties this summer, particularly as the Blues aim to ease Profit and Sustainability concerns.
