Chris Sutton mocks Kris Boyd with 'Rangers are coming' cardboard cut-out quip ahead of Celtic title party

Chris Sutton mocked Kris Boyd as he welcomed a cardboard cut-out to Celtic's title party.

The Rangers hero wasn't present as part of Sky Sports' team as the Hoops took on St Mirren in a dead rubber final game of the season. But the Parkhead clash doesn't mean nothing to the hosts as they get set to be presented with the league trophy in front of their own fans after the final whistle.

Things didn't get off to the best start as Mark O'Hara gave the Buddies the lead and after Matt O'Riley levelled, the visitors' captain put them in front once again. Kyogo scored to make it level going into the break but that didn't stop Hoops hero Sutton from having a bit of a laugh at his fellow pundit's expense.

He joked Boyd wanted to be there to take in Celtic's title party and mocked him over his Rangers allegiance.

As someone brought the cardboard cut-out on set, host Eilidh Barbour said: "Chris, you're going to join Ian up in commentary with your friend."

Sutton joked: "This is my replacement. I know he wanted to come and celebrate Celtic's title success. Here he is, Boydy. 'The Rangers are coming, the Rangers are coming.'"
