Ollie Clarke said that this felt like another one of those games where Swindon Town didn't make the most of things as they lost 3-1 to Milton Keynes Dons.

Swindon were able to take an early lead as Clarke got in down the right to set up Harry Smith in the first minute but goals from Kane Thompson-Sommers, Scott Hogan, and Alex Gilbey meant they left with nothing.

Clarke felt like it was another display when Swindon didn't get the small details right and were punished for it.

He said: "It is disappointing. It is another one of those games where I feel like we had enough situations and didn't capitalise on them like we should have.

"We looked at it all week and we nearly exploited it and I felt like we were unlucky with a few decisions.

"Again naivety, decision-making, and concentration have cost us with switching off from set plays and crosses.

"That is what good teams do to you, they exploit your weaknesses and our weaknesses have been our downfall, it has been switching off and not sticking with runners and not really being man enough to say 'That's my man, I am going to stick with him.'

"It is a frustrating afternoon for us but I believe that we have a lot of positives to take from things like that.

"We can't afford to dwell on the ifs, buts, and maybes, we need to be positive and have a positive outlook moving into next week and try and get a positive result there."

Clarke set up Swindon's goal with a driving run after just 18 seconds before crossing for Smith to score and he was pleased to help the team in an attacking sense.

He said: "It is brilliant, obviously it is nice to chip in with assists and goals.

"It is something that I don't really set any goals for, it is just what I can do for the team.

"I feel like I am getting fitter and back to where I should be after struggling in the early part of the season with little niggling calf injuries which took their toll on me.

"It is a nice feeling [to get the assist] and hopefully we can bring on positive performances.

"I will look to drive the team on with the way that I play and the fitter I can be and stay then that can have a positive impact on the whole team."
