Cole Palmer's EA FC 25 rating revealed as Chelsea winger receives incredible upgrade
After his outstanding debut campaign with Chelsea last season, Cole Palmer has been awarded with an incredible rating upgrade in EA FC 25.
EA FC 25 is the next instalment of the EA Sports FC game series, with the EA FC 24 replacement set to be released worldwide on Friday, September 27. Ahead of the official worldwide release, EA Sports has begun to build up the EA FC 25 hype by revealing some new features coming to the game, including new player ratings for the upcoming game title.
When Palmer joined Chelsea in the 2023 summer transfer window from Manchester City, EA Sports handed the Englishman an overall rating of 66 out of 99 in EA FC 24 – funnily enough, his rating was bizarrely downgraded from 67 in FIFA 23. But, with Palmer managing to score 25 goals and grab 15 assists in 45 games for the Blues last season, it was quite clear that EA's judgment of the 22-year-old was incorrect.
So, after the season Palmer went on to have, EA Sports were left to look like fools, and it seems they have handed Palmer a much fairer rating for EA FC 25, with the 22-year-old earning one of the biggest upgrades we've ever seen.

Cole Palmer's official EA FC 25 player rating
Palmer's official EA FC 25 player rating is 85 out of 99, a whopping +19 upgrade from his EA FC 24 rating. Throughout FIFA and EA Sports FC history, only Doka Madureira in FIFA 16 (+27), Eden Hazard in FIFA 10 (+26), and Paul Pogba in FIFA 13 (+22) have received bigger upgrades.
These are Palmer's official EA FC 25 stats, and how much they've increased from EA FC 24:
Pace: 75/99 (+1)
Shooting: 82/99 (+16)
Passing: 83/99 (+21)
Dribbling: 86/99 (+16)
Defending: 50/99 (+4)
Physical: 66/99 (+9)
Compared to his Chelsea teammate's ratings from EA FC 24, only Christopher Nkunku would be higher rated than Palmer (86), but the Frenchman is likely to go down in rating, so it's safe to bet that Palmer will at least be Chelsea's joint highest rated player in EA FC 25.
Alongside Palmer's rating reveal was Chelsea Women's Lauren James, with the England international also receiving a decent upgrade in EA FC 25. James' new rating of 86 overall is a +3 increase from EA FC 24, with some of her standout stats being 89/99 pace, 87/99 dribbling, 82/99 physical, and 81/99 shooting.
With Palmer having already started this season tremendously, don't be surprised to see him rewarded with a few performance-based special items in the Ultimate Team game mode, with 85 overall already starting to look a little too low.
