Columbus Crew vs. New York City FC Leagues Cup quarterfinal: How to watch Saturday's game

The Columbus Crew and New York City FC reached the Leagues Cup quarterfinals with dramatic wins in the Round of 16 on Tuesday night.

The Crew earned an exhilarating 3-2 win over 2023 Leagues Cup winner Inter Miami. Diego Rossi scored twice in the second half as Columbus rallied from two goals down to pull out the victory and earn another home game in the Leagues Cup knockout rounds.

New York City FC, meanwhile, eliminated one of the top Liga MX clubs in Tigres to reach the quarterfinals. NYCFC also rallied for its win, answering Tigres' opening goal just three minutes later on Maximiliano Moralez's score. In the second half, Santiago Rodriguez secured the win in the 65th minute. This is the second straight year that Tigres — the 2020 Concacaf Champions League winner — has exited the Leagues Cup in the Round of 16.

In Major League Soccer play, both the Crew and NYCFC are among the top five in the Eastern Conference standings as both teams will take aim at the playoffs once their Leagues Cup runs end.

The winner of the Columbus Crew-New York City FC quarterfinal faces the winner of the Philadelphia Union-Mazatlán game in the semifinals.
