Commanders vs. Buccaneers kickoff time: TV, start time, streaming and how to watch Sunday

The Washington Commanders are banking on a new franchise quarterback and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are counting on a new offensive coordinator to take a step forward during the 2024 NFL season. Those ambitions will collide in Week 1 when the Commanders visit Tampa, Fla., to face the Bucs.

Washington, after its first offseason under new owner Josh Harris, will debut General Manager Adam Peters, Coach Dan Quinn and quarterback Jayden Daniels, the No. 2 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, when it takes the field to begin the regular season at Raymond James Stadium. The Commanders had a 4-13 record last year, a campaign that led to wholesale roster changes and the firing of former coach Ron Rivera.

Tampa Bay won its third-straight NFC South title in 2023 and then beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild card round of the NFL playoffs. The Bucs are dreaming of more after retaining quarterback Baker Mayfield, wide receiver Mike Evans, linebacker Lavonte David, defensive back Antoine Winfield Jr. and left tackle Tristan Wirfs with contracts that could be worth as much as $431 million with incentives.
