Curtis Jones sends seven-word message after Liverpool star shines for England vs Greece
Liverpool star Curtis Jones has sent a seven-word message after making his senior England debut. The 23-year-old starred for the Three Lions in their victory over Greece in the Nations League on Thursday night.
Jones was handed his senior debut for England by interim manager Lee Carsley, who will remain in charge until Thomas Tuchel takes over in the New Year. The Liverpool midfielder scored the third and final goal in the 3-0 win in Athens, with Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins also on the score sheet with an own goal from Odysseas Vlachodimos.
Carsley had previously handed Jones opportunities with the England Under-21 team, and now the Liverpool academy graduate has shown his abilities in the senior squad. Sunday will see Jones handed another chance to start for his country when the Three Lions face the Republic of Ireland at Wembley Stadium in their final Nations League group stage fixture.

After starring for England in Athens on Thursday night, Jones posted a message on social media. "Dream debut, grateful," Jones wrote on Instagram. "See you at Wembley."
Jones has become a key member of the Liverpool squad over the last few years, and head coach Arne Slot has rewarded the midfielder with a regular spot in the starting line-up. Six of the last eight matches in all competitions has seen Slot name Jones in the starting line-up, and the midfielder will hope that trend continues when club football returns after the international break.
It was last month that Jones scored his one and only goal of the season which was the winning strike in a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the Premier League. After facing Ireland on Sunday, Jones will hope to be a starter once again for Liverpool when they face Southampton in their return to top flight action a week later.
