Cyriel Dessers has revealed no harsh words were exchanged after Rangers' title dreams were put to bed at Celtic Park.

Celtic were all but crowned champions on Saturday after defeating their bitter rivals 2-1 to move within a point of securing three-in-a-row. The crushing loss has sparked mass outrage within the Ibrox support who have run out of patience watching Celts dominate Scottish football. Red card sinner John Lundstram has come in for fierce criticism after his moment of madness left Philippe Clement's side with a mountain to climb.

But when asked if there was anger in the away dressing room at full-time, Dessers told Sky Sports: "No, not really. There was a lot of silence.

"I think a lot of guys needed that moment for themselves. It's really weird when you come into the dressing room and it's this quiet. I think everyone just felt the pain and let the pain come to them individually. It's really weird because it hurts and you are mourning.

"But on the other side, you have to switch the button again and go again not only on Tuesday but also on Saturday and the Scottish Cup Final. So you cannot go down too much. You have to keep a little bit of positive feeling inside you and find this strength and power to go again next week."
