Breaking down low blocks remains Leeds United's big Achilles heel in their quest for automatic promotion. They lacked the creativity and imagination to unlock a stubborn Millwall defence in midweek.

It is not the first time this season or during Daniel Farke's reign that the Whites have come up short when opponents have defended deep and put men behind the ball. There have been a number of occasions where United have lost by the odd goal, particularly on their travels.

Although the Whites remain firmly in the hunt for a top-two finish, EFL expert Adrian Clarke has expressed his concern over their attacking firepower. Speaking on the 'What The EFL Podcast‘, Clarke said: “Once again, I’ve got to say, Leeds, when they come up against a team that are excellent in their off the ball shape, pressing and aggression, Leeds ran out of ideas. As brilliant as they can be, that’s a big problem in their quest to get automatic promotion in my opinion.”

It will be interesting to see if Farke decides to rotate his forward line after firing a blank at The Den. Manor Solomon and Mateo Joseph are waiting in the wings for an opportunity to stake a claim.

Farke said there were "one or two knocks and some tired legs" at his pre-match press conference. Admitting the Whites will need to make "some late decisions", he said: "It seems like all the players who were with us will be available."
