David Gray on the brink as woeful Hibs crash to heavy Dundee defeat
David Gray could be teetering on the brink of the sack after watching his Hibs flops crash to a woeful 4-1 defeat at Dens Park.
Rookie boss Gray was handed the dreaded vote of confidence by Easter Road chiefs during the international break following a dismal start to the campaign. Despite languishing at the foot of the Premiership table with just one victory from 12 at the time, under-fire club chiefs threw their support behind the Scottish Cup-winning legend by vowing to stick with Gray "through this challenging time".
But the 36-year-old's job could now be under serious threat after Dundee fought back from a goal down to thrash the ten-man Hibees in Tayside. Nicky Cadden fired the visitors ahead with just two minutes on the clock before Jordan Obita was shown a straight red card for a crunching tackle on Mo Sylla.

The moment of madness was undoubtedly a huge turning point in the game as two quick-fire goals from Jordan McGhee and Antonio Portales put the Dees in front. A horror mistake from Josef Bursik gifted Seb Palmer-Houlden an open goal seconds before the break to make it 3-1.
After the interval, it was a case of damage limitation for Hibs. But yet another defensive blunder - this time from Rocky Bushiri - capped off a calamitous night for Hibs as Curtis Main put the icing on the cake with Dundee's fourth of the night. Whether it turns out to be the final nail in the coffin for Gray's long association with Hibs should become clearer over the next 24 hours.
