Declan Rice named London's Premier League Player of the Year at LFA 2024
Declan Rice has been named the Premier League Player of the Year by the London Football Awards for the second time.
Having previously been honoured in the 2022 ceremony for his efforts with West Ham, the Arsenal midfielder claimed the 2024 gong in Thursday’s event to reclaim the prize from last year’s winner and club teammate Martin Odegaard.
William Saliba was nominated from the Gunners this year alongside West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen and the Tottenham duo of Guglielmo Vicario and Pedro Porro.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was beaten to the Manager of the Year award by Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs also took home the Goalkeeper of the Year award with Vicario prevailing while Michael Olise won the Goal of the Year with his strike for Crystal Palace against Luton.
Cole Palmero of Chelsea was named Young Player of the Year while fellow Blues star Lauren James took home the capital’s WSL Player of the Year gong and Aggie Beever-Jones won the Women’s Young Player of the Year.
Charlton striker Alfie May was also recognised as the LFA’s EFL Player of the Year.
